Paul Chavy Les Damodes Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru 2022

A deep ruby wine of precise structure from the Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Les Damodes, on its north-facing slope bordering Vosne-Romanée. The 2022 vintage brings ripe black berries and plum, framed by violet, fine spice and discreet oak vanilla. The texture is silky and the tannin fine-grained; the mid-palate is concentrated yet balanced by lively acidity, and the finish long, stony and slightly saline. A classic Côte de Nuits expression for red meat and game birds; serve at around 16 °C – it will develop elegantly over the next decade.
