Aromas of ripe white peach and lemon zest lead with subtle brioche and delicate spice. The palate is broad yet composed, carrying a silken texture and a persistent, stony finish. Wild-yeast fermentation, extended lees aging and roughly one-fifth new oak build depth and gentle creaminess while keeping definition. The clay-limestone of Morgeot brings weight through the mid-palate and a saline edge that lifts the close. Excellent now with a brief decant, this will gain complexity over 5 to 10 years. Pair with roast chicken, poached turbot or scallops in beurre blanc.
