Paolo Scavino Carobric Barolo DOCG 2013

A classic Barolo from the 2013 vintage whose elegant, taut style brings out aromas of dog rose, violet and licorice, framed by sour cherry and pomegranate with hints of tobacco and tar. The palate is dry and medium to full-bodied, with fine-grained yet purposeful tannins and lively acidity carrying a long, mineral finish. Decanting is recommended; the wine will develop beautifully over the next decade and is a superb partner for beef, game and truffle dishes.
