Iraun is Oxer’s tribute to his people and language (Euskera). The word “means to endure”. Vineyards

Very old Rioja Alavesa vineyards from Laguardia and Elvillar at 600 metres above sea level, on soils with a high calcium carbonate content, fine and porous clays with high potential, with yields of around 3,000 kg per hectare.

Vinification

Pressed with whole bunches and alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks, seeking hyperoxidation beforehand at the time of pressing. The wine is then transferred to used 600L French oak barrels where fermentation ends and where it will remain for 7 months before being bottled..
