Oxer Bastegieta Ahari 2022

What’s in a Name: From Basque mythology, Ahari was an elf in the shape of a ram who came out at night to scare people for fun. In this case, Oxer has wanted to show in the leprechaun a small nod to the painting 'Guernica' by Pablo Picasso.

Varieties: 70% Tempranillo, 20% Graciano and 10% Viura

Production: 3.400 bottles of 0,75 cl.

Vineyard
Very old Tempranillo vineyards, with Graciano from slightly younger plots, on clay-calcareous soils from Rioja Alavesa, with low yields per hectare.

Winemaking
Fermentation with native yeasts in foudres and subsequent aging in used French oak barrels of 600 and 500 liters, where malolactic fermentation takes place. Subsequent aging of 11 months in the same barrels
