Deep ruby with moderate translucency. The nose leads with ripe black cherry, sloe and bramble, layered with cedar, faint tobacco and a savoury herbal lift. On the palate it is concentrated yet juicy; bright acidity and fine-grained tannins give drive and shape, while a stony, schist-like minerality runs through the core. Flavors echo dark berries and elderberry with hints of spice, finishing long, clean and subtly smoky. This is a balanced, food-centric Blaufränkisch that pairs beautifully with game, lamb with herbs or earthy mushroom dishes. Serve at 16–18 °C. Drinking very well now with further positive development expected over the coming years.
