Description:
A refined, mature Pinot Noir from the breezy, slightly cooler slopes around Jois in the Neusiedlersee. The nose opens with red forest fruits led by raspberry and wild strawberry, layered with hints of milk chocolate, roasted hazelnut and a gentle spice lift. The palate is medium bodied with lively acidity and very fine, silky tannins, a texture shaped by a long 30-day maceration without pressing and a patient élevage that includes many years in seasoned barriques and large casks before bottling. Flavors build in the glass, adding subtle woodland and stony notes, then glide into a long, dry and clean finish. The 13% alcohol sits in perfect balance, and the wine’s poise makes it a versatile partner for game birds, duck, lentil and beet dishes, or earthy mushroom fare.
