Jean-Philippe Marchand Nuits-Saint-Georges 2017

A classic Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir from the 2017 vintage, showing ripe cherry and wild berry aromas framed by delicate spice, a violet nuance and a hint of forest floor. The palate is medium-bodied, slender and balanced, with fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity carrying the flavours to a long, clean finish. Red berries, a delicate oak note and a mineral line intertwine. Especially good with duck, game and mushroom dishes; worth a brief decant in youth.
