Le Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild 2020 is a polished Pauillac led by Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose opens with ripe cassis and morello cherry, layered with peony and subtle nutmeg, before shading into cocoa and pencil-lead tones. The palate is full yet composed, driven by close-knit, finely grained tannins that frame concentrated black-fruit flavors. The finish is long, flavourful and mouthcoating, echoing dark chocolate and graphite. It shows the estate’s precision and freshness in 2020 and will reward cellaring while offering impressive early appeal after a brief decant.
