A deep ruby Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru sourced from the upper, château-side sector Quartier de Marei Haut. The nose is taut and precise, layering black-cherry and sour-cherry fruit with wild strawberry, dried rose and violet, then sweet spice, cedar and a subtle forest-floor complexity. The palate is linear and driven, with fine, chalk-edged tannins and a distinctly saline, mineral finish; concentration is impressive yet the wine remains poised and elegant. Lively acidity frames a long, stony aftertaste. Superb with roast beef, game or truffle-accented dishes. Drink 2026–2045+; decant 1–2 hours in youth.
