Sanctus Sanctorum — Clos Saint-Jean, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Sanctus Sanctorum ("Holy of Holies" in Latin) is the pinnacle of Clos Saint-Jean: a cuvée from the estate's finest and oldest parcel, the historic 13.5 hectares on the Crau plateau.
Made from 100% century-old Grenache vines grown on red clay, it shows a firm tannic structure paired with remarkable depth and texture. The nose reveals kirsch liqueur, blackberries, herbes de Provence and a touch of scorched earth, framed by refined oak — intense and complex, yet perfectly balanced.
Produced only in the best vintages, aged entirely in demi-muid barrels, and bottled exclusively in magnum (1.5 L) in very limited quantities.
Rated 95–100 points by leading critics including Jeb Dunnuck and Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
