Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc Pessac-Leognan 2020

Château Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc 2020 is a benchmark dry white from Pessac-Léognan, opening with aromas of ripe peach and apricot, acacia and orange blossom, and a vivid line of citrus. The palate is medium-to-full in body yet finely etched, its 12 months in barrel (about 50% new) lending creamy texture without masking the wine’s stony, saline drive. Layers of yellow fruit, subtle spice and flinty mineral notes build through a long, chalk-tinged finish that is precise and refreshing. Serve at 10–12 °C in generous stemware; superb with turbot, scallops or lobster, and capable of aging gracefully over the next decade.
