Champagne Simon Rion Blanc de Blancs 2018

A silky-fine mousse and chalky freshness open the pure Chardonnay character of this wine from Courmas on the slopes of the Petite Montagne de Reims. The nose shows lemon zest, green apple, white flowers and delicate brioche; the palate is dry, with precise acidity and clear mineral tension leading to long, bright notes. The ripe, sunny character of 2018 gives more generous fruit and roundness, while the extra brut style keeps the line sharp and supremely elegant. An excellent partner for oysters, crudo and fine goat's cheeses.
