Champagne Hugues Godmé Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru

100% Pinot Noir

Silky texture and chalky freshness meet in this Blanc de Noirs made from Pinot Noir grown on the Grand Cru slopes of the northern Montagne de Reims. The grapes come from Verzy and Verzenay vineyards farmed biodynamically since 2013; part of the wine is fermented and aged in neutral barrels and blended with reserve wines before long bottle ageing adds finesse and persistence. The nose shows ripe red berries, citrus peel and delicate brioche; the palate is dry, taut and balanced, with a supple finish and saline-chalky minerality. An elegant yet powerful Champagne, as good as an aperitif as with fish, poultry or pork.
